Anti reflection coating
Antireflection coatings reduce the surface reflexes of light on glasses. Glass with n = 1,52 ( e.g. BK7), approximately 8% of the light is reflected at the surfaces. With anti reflection coatings the loss can be reduced to less than 1%.
Cold Light coating
High-quality lighting systems for the use in theatres, TV - or live-shows work with very high-power light sources. Infrared radiation is transmitted through the lighting system causing high temperatures in front of the lamps. Cold light mirrors on glass are the optimal solution by not transmitting the IR wavelength.
Dichroic coatings
Multi layer technical coatings producing very stable and accurate colours. Primarily used in coloured airfield lighting prism coating.
Toughening
Thermal toughening
Glass that has been subjected to a controlled heating and cooling process in order to significantly increase its resistance to mechanical and thermal stress. Through the thermal toughening process, the glass attains its safe-breakage characteristics.
Chemical Toughening
Chemical toughening is used particularly to strengthen glass to very high levels in specialist applications such as thin walled items. It involves an ion exchange reaction which replaces sodium ions at the surface with bigger potassium ions, putting a thin layer of the surface into a high level of compression.

Measurement
We have in-house measurement systems ranging from digital vernier callipers to a Mitutoyo Contracer. All tooling and lens geometries are verified in-house.We also have access to 3D CMM.
